Continuing education grant

This programme aims to encourage people on a low income to take part in continuing vocational education and training and increase their participation in such measures. Individuals who are in gainful employment with a taxable annual income of up to 20,000 euros (or 40,000 euros for jointly assessed persons) are eligible for support. The federation pays half of the fees for continuing education programmes up to a maximum amount of 500 euros per award voucher. One award voucher can be issued per person per year. In the Länder where Länder programmes promote measures for the federal target group with event fees of more than 1,000 euros (including VAT), the education grant only covers continuing education measures with event fees of up to 1,000 euros (including VAT).

Those interested in continuing education grants can use the preliminary check to find out if they fulfill the eligibility conditions.

Since 1 July 2017, new funding conditions have been in force (no age limit, wider range of use, annual funding).
