Transnational mobility under the ESF in Poland

he1. Brief description of planned programme

Within the mobility schemes as defined in the respective Polish national ESF Operational Programme (OP KED), we support projects implemented on the basis of Erasmus +, actions for young people at risk of social exclusion, mobility schemes for people engaged in creation and implementation of public policies, therapists working with young people at risk of social exclusion and practical vocational training instructors.

So far we have organized and granted co-financing within two calls based on IDA concept:

- projects from first call were carried out 2016-2018 (23 projects)
- projects from second call 2018-2020 (11 projects, 2 still being implemented).

Above mentioned calls were launched at national level by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. There are no plans to launch new call based on IDA concept within current financial perspective.

2. Intended target group

Transnational mobility programmes aimed at professional activation of young people at risk of social exclusion or who are socially excluded. Participants of the projects are people 18-35 years old who are not in employment, education or training (NEET group). People belonging to the NEET group, who do not show activity in both, professional and educational fields and for various reasons stay out of work or do not have sufficient level of education / training to take up an employment, e.g. long-term unemployed, young people without work experience, economically inactive, early school leavers, low skilled, persons with disabilities etc.

3. ESF Thematic Priority

For the ESF programming period 2014-2020, Poland has established a separate Priority Axis for social innovation and transnational cooperation (TNC) in the national ESF OP (OP Knowledge Education Development – OP KED), which prescribes central coordination of all projects in this field.

4. Intended timeline for call of proposals

The current programme will run until the middle of 2022.
