Transnational mobility under the ESF in Trento
1. Brief description of programme
Based on the TLN Mobility Coordinated Call, a pilot mobility action at local level in Trento was launched in January 2015. The action was open to all certified training agencies that have their operational premises and activities in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Trento. The call was launched under a two step procedure: operators were requested to present an expression of interest by 6th February 2015. After verification of their admission criteria they were then invited to apply with a mobility project within the end of February. Because of the limited resources available, only one operator was chosen for this pilot action (total budget allocated: 200.000 EUR).
The project was required to run a two-way mobility action: 1. sending abroad 24 people to Germany (in two groups) and a group of 12 people to Spain; 2. hosting two groups of 5 people, one from each of the two countries.
The responsibility of choosing the foreign project operators was not fully left to Italian operators but was made together with the support of the administration, namely by referring to project operators identified within the reference countries, i.e. Germany and Spain.
The mobility action was completed by 31 October 2015, with the financial report to be presented by the end of December 2015.
Based on the success of the first mobility action, a subsequent programme was launched which ran from 2019 - 2021.
2. Target group
The target group of the mobility action were NEETs, taking into consideration that in the Trento area, this group concerns especially young people with a professional diploma, who are neither working nor studying anymore. The intention is to address this group through the recruitment system of the Youth Initiative which already in place in the territory, working in collaboration with the agencies that are actually identifying and contacting the NEETs.

The first call was launched using remaining budget of the ESF programming period 2007-2013. The subsequent mobility action was launched under the ESF OP for the 2014-2020 programming period.
